Here we are on the brink of a new year, and I just realized that I missed my six month blogversary on the 26th! It's been such an encouraging six months and I can't wait to see how this blog grows (and improves) over the next year. One of my New Year's resolutions is to open an Etsy shop - fingers crossed!
To celebrate six months of successful (meaning I haven't stopped yet!) blogging, I've invited my top six posts to step into the spot light once again.
With this tie neck blouse tutorial, turn any long sleeved blouse into a fun layering piece.
When the world went peplum crazy this summer, I showed you how to turn any boxy tee into a stylish addition to your wardrobe. Easy peasy!
With a nod to the Peter Pan collar that battled with the peplum flounce for most coveted look of 2012, I created this layered "butterfly" collar to dress up a plain tee.
My grandmother, kind enough to gift me with her mother and grandmother's old embroidered linens, had no idea what could happen to family heirlooms! (Actually, she was very excited by this project.) See how you too can repurpose old linens into a chic vintage clutch. (Or better yet, wait till I open my Etsy shop later this year....)
Though this was a project I saw all over Pinterest, I never found instructions that actually walked you through the details. Boom! Done. Turn those old sweaters into warm woolen mittens.
I've never been much of a sparkly girl, but this year I caught the bug. Inspired by an Anthro hat, I hand sewed sequins to create this fun piece for my winter wardrobe. Even five hours of stitching sequins has not yet diminished my new love of sparkle. Come see how you can make your own!
I'm so excited to see what this year holds! Taking a blogging break is always good for my creativity and motivation, and I feel ready to come back full force in January. I have my eye on a couple Anthro pieces just waiting to be imitated....
