So I had spotted this little cutie at the thrift store a while ago. It was two sizes too big for me, but I loved the pattern. Rather Cath Kidston-esque, don't you think? (Judging by the label, I think it's 80's Liz Claiborne.) But I was too chicken to take the plunge and attempt altering a jacket. So I left the thrift store and tried to forget that beautiful fabric.
But then I saw this tutorial by MaryBeth at Second-Hand Couture and it inspired me to give it a whirl.
I'm in love with this jacket!!
I'm trying to decide if I want to change out the buttons - either ones with more contrast, or fabric covered from the excess. Thoughts?
(Note: To help the sleeves fit back into the armhole, I gathered about 3" around the top edge.)
Thank you, MaryBeth!!

I love, love, love it! I'm so happy that it helped. The floral pattern is perfection. I bet you'll get a lot of use out of it this fall. :)
